It currently maintains corporate offices in Chico, California (since 1973) and satellite offices and marine yards on both coasts; one in Longview, Washington (since 2015) at he the confluence of the Cowlitz and Columbia Rivers and another on the St. Lucie Waterway in Stuart, Florida (since 2003).

JEM maintains a staff of experienced, professional and hard-working individuals. JEM supervisors and craft employees hold a variety of certifications including, but not limited to: AWS D1.1 Welding, National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators, CPR and First-Aid, 30-hour OSHA, Army Corps of Engineers Contractor Quality Control (CQC), Safety Trained Supervisor (STS), and Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (SECEL).
In addition, outstanding safety, environmental, on-time performance, and partnering records have helped J.E. McAmis maintain positive long-term relationships with our clients, subcontractors, permitting agencies, and the community. In addition to a consistent record of receiving outstanding performance evaluations from our clients, in recent years JEM has received two prestigious awards from the Western Dredging Association (WEDA) which covers the entire Western Hemisphere. In 2011, J.E. McAmis was recognized with WEDA’s Annual Safety Award as well as the Environmental Excellence Award for the execution of the $56M Columbia River Channel Improvements Project which J.E. McAmis performed for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District.
