The North Jetty Sand Tightening and Extension Project at Cape Canaveral, FL, consisted of reconstruction of the existing North Jetty and extending the jetty an additional 300’. The project required driving a sheetpile wall down the center of the new jetty alignment and placement of over 39,000 tons of granite armor stone ranging up to 16 tons in size. The primary purpose of the project was to stop the migration of sand into the entrance of Canaveral Harbor.
